ONLINE COACHING? DOES IT WORK?

Coaching should take place in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Online coaching is a wonderful way for the right coach to support the right client at a distance. Even in the virtual space, I am completely there for you. I am very aware of your voice, your body language and your choice of words and tone, which helps me to support you even online in the best possible way. Of course, depending on the assignment, we can arrange my travelling to an agreed location as well. I am based in Mainz, in the Rhein-Main-area.

WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching means a series of conversations that allow deep reflection in a protected space, always focused on the future and positive change.

WHEN IS COACHING USEFUL?

This kind of support is suitable if you feel dissatisfaction in certain areas, be it professional or private, and think that you should/would like to change something. Examples from professional life are poor communication with colleagues, lack of self-confidence for a new professional task or lack of work-life balance. In private life, too, people sometimes feel they need to change something as they are not tapping into their full potential.

WHAT COACHING IS NOT!

Coaching is not mentoring (learning from another person’s experience) or consultancy (getting suggestions and solutions from someone).

HOW DOES COACHING WORK?

Coaching means a series of conversations in a protected space. If you find yourself in a specific, difficult situation, just one hour can provide more clarity or lead you to a decision. Depending on the wishes you start the coaching with, a longer accompaniment can also be the right thing. Here I will coach you for about 3 to 6 months in the direction of the change you want. In the process, I guide you, encourage you and challenge you to develop new ways of thinking and perspectives. Each coaching session lasts between 30 and 120 minutes. It all depends on what we decide together in our preliminary conversation. After just one hour of coaching, something changes. Each session is completely unique and develops individually.

For me, coaching means a journey on the outside but also on the inside. If your challenges need a different kind of help, I will refer you to the appropriate place. So coaching is clearly not counseling, it is future oriented. Likewise, it is not consultancy, as the coach does not offer you any solutions. To understand what coaching really is and what your accountability in this process is, the pre-consultation call is really important.

WHAT DOES THE COACH ACTUALLY DO?

Coaches guide you through the conversations, concentrate fully on you and listen to you carefully. This allows them to use their intuition to ask the right questions. They never have a solution for you in mind but help you to develop your own solution. They motivate and encourage you along the way.
